Ann Gibbon Communications was hired to create awareness of the non-profit Stroke Recovery Association of B.C. among stroke survivors, health-care professionals and anyone who has been affected by a stroke. Her mandate was to publicize five pilot Community Stroke Education Days throughout BC to position the association as a thought leader in education and outreach and to prepare stroke survivors in each geographic location to give media interviews.
The media coverage Ann Gibbon Communications secured for the Association across the province built public awareness about stroke recovery and the SRABC. The publicity provided the association with a solid base from which to work on future campaigns.
